Srinagar Jan 28 (KNO) : The working president of Muslim Conference Jahangir Gani Butt in a statement issued today said that forces everywhere across the globe help nations to establish peace but in Kashmir forces are given free hand to kill civilian and kill people of Kashmir for their sport. He said, Indian armed forces are responsible for killing our generation in Kashmir and they are responsible for sabotaging dialogue/peace process. Government of India should understand too much violence has already taken place and too many lives lost and it’s time to put an end to all this. He said the civilians killed in army firing in Shopian district of south Kashmir yesterday were not militants but students. He appealed the world bodies to take serious cognizance of the deteriorating situation in Kashmir at the hands of Indian soldiers and has urged the National Human Rights Commission of India and UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Council to take urgent notice of the situation. He questioned the state authorities about the enquiries in Kashmir so far have been ordered and can they give any example of punishment to murderers. He said even culprits of Matchil fake encounter were left free and this isn't justice, they were killed for money by the Indian soldiers of 4 Rajputana Rifles who killed them in the fake encounter and dubbed them as Pakistani militants. He said that people of Kashmir have rendered unparalleled sacrifices for freedom of Kashmir and paid high tribute to the civilian martyrs at Ganapora, and expressed solidarity with the bereaved families. He prayed for the fast recovery of the injured.(KNO)
